7Air to Deliver Urgent Humanitarian Aid to Jamaica Following Category 5 Hurricane Melissa Landfall

October 28, 2025 – Miami, FL – 7Air today announced a strategic partnership with the 25 United Foundation, Helpful Harrison, Armellini Logistics, Cheney Brothers Inc., the Fox Foundation, and U.S. and Jamaican government officials. Together, they will provide critical humanitarian aid and relief air cargo services to Jamaica as the country braces for the imminent impact of Hurricane Melissa.

Presently, 7Air is coordinating directly with U.S. government officials and the Secretary to the Prime Minister of Jamaica. The company is mobilizing rapid-response logistics and air cargo services and will deliver essential supplies, equipment, and personnel immediately to regions across the island.

25 United Leads Ground Relief Mission

25 United, led by Stephen G. Leighton, will direct a coordinated relief mission to support communities facing Hurricane Melissa. Leighton and his team are mobilizing partners, volunteers, and critical resources to deliver aid quickly and effectively to the areas that need it most.

Regional Partners Mobilize Resources and Supply Chain Support

Additionally, Harrison Weinberg of Helpful Harrison will support the launch of relief operations in Martin County. Cheney Brothers Inc. has opened its facilities to the 25 United Foundation and now enables teams to prepare, weigh, and load pallets of essential goods, including food, water, and medical supplies. After teams complete shipments, Armellini Express Lines of Palm City will transport all donated items to Miami, where they will stage the cargo for airlift operations into affected areas.

Furthermore, The Fox Foundation of the Bahamas has pledged its partnership and will expand airlift capacity, medical transport, and resource distribution throughout impacted zones. These organizations now demonstrate the power of collaboration and community in times of crisis. Their unified effort will deliver life-saving assistance swiftly and efficiently. 7Air has pledged to move at least 50,000 pounds of humanitarian aid and relief cargo aboard its Boeing 737-800 freighter directly into Kingston, Jamaica.

Single-Type Fleet Strategy Drives Efficiency

The new addition reflects 7Air’s strategy of operating a single-type fleet composed exclusively of Boeing 737-800 freighters. These aircraft are widely recognized for their efficiency, flexibility, and reliability in short- and medium-haul markets. By standardizing its fleet, 7Air ensures operational consistency and cost efficiency. This approach allows the airline to deliver enhanced value to its customers.

“We only operate 737-800 freighters. That is our preferred aircraft, and for the first two years, our plan is to remain with that one type of aircraft,” said Carlos Cock, CEO of TXG, 7Air’s Parent Company. “All of our aircraft are currently on lease, but we are looking to purchase our own by the third quarter of next year. For our immediate needs, leased aircraft give us the flexibility to scale quickly and meet growing customer demand.”

Additionally, 7Air plans to add four additional Boeing 737-800 freighters by next year. This expansion will double its fleet and increase its ability to capture market share in its core regions.
